We are looking for a  Chief Accountant for Global Eye Investments, the group People First is also a part of.

Candidate profile: 

  University degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting;
 4-5 years of chief accounting experience in a multinational environment;
 Very good knowledge of fiscal legislation;
 CECCAR certification is a must;
 Experienced in using ERP systems. Navision knowledge is considered a plus;
 Good IT skills, especially Excel;
 Good command of English language (written and spoken);

Responsibilities:

 Responsible for a proper day-to-day bookkeeping (working in GL, AP, AR and Fixed Assed Ledger) by organizing accounting records according to the principles of the Romanian Accounting Act, Tax Law;
 Responsible the compliance with the Group Policies, statutory and regulatory requirements, taxes and treasury compliance;
 Manages monthly, quarterly and annual closing;
 Statutory reporting (annual Financial Statements, Tax reporting, etc.);
 Prepares Annual Financial Statements and manages Statutory and Internal audits and Tax Audits;
 Ensures accuracy of information in the subledger and ensures the accuracy of the subledger feeds to the general ledger;
 Makes accruals and month-end closing;
 Handles petty cash/expense reports, making bank transfers, keeps contact with the bank
 Checks incoming invoices (for their properness), approval from the Finance side;
 Proper and timely calculation, submission and settlement of budget liabilities according to the tax regulations (VAT, etc.);
 Supports Finance Manager and solves daily operational issues;
 Ensures that the management is informed about any potential tax consequences in due time;
 Responsible for the relationship with state authorities on any tax issues, such as tax audits, VAT reimbursements, etc.
