Management assessment, a first step for improvement

Challenge: The client, an international manufacturer of construction materials for luxurious spaces, is positioned among the top ten companies of its domain worldwide.

Over the last four years the company suffered from continuous changes in the top management and its' leadership team which led in a series of important challenges affecting the operations of the production line in Romania as well as the sales and customer service operations.    

Solution: People First Intelligence division undertook the challenge to assist the ownership of the company understand the current situation and identify the possible gaps in the management system.

A team of international management assessors was formed and they were assigned to take a snap shot of the current management system according to the EFQM model. The areas under examination were these of Leadership, People, Policy and Strategy, Processes, Results and Key Performance Results. The methodology of the assessment consisted in desktop study and interviews. 

Results: After concluding a four weeks assessment process, a twenty-page report was developed. The report highlighted the Key Strengths of the management system as well as the Main Areas for Improvement which where categorized by importance. The report and the results where presented to the top management in a meeting and our consultants helped highlight the immediate actions required and build a strategic plan for the restructuring of the company. The recomendatioons resulted in a company wide restructuring which is still under developemnt.
